Travelodge to Open 100 Smaller Hotels
Travelodge has announced it will be targeting a new market with the development of 100 smaller, Metro, hotels in superb locations across the UK. These Metro hotels will be between 20 and 40 rooms and offer a more premium service, allowing the budget hotelier to access a wealthier level of customer.
Locations will include The City of London, Kensington and many other central city locations. The model will also be used to place properties in coastal locations and within theme parks and attractions.
Travelodge experimented with the model with a prototype hotel in one of Edinburgh’s busiest tourist areas, Rose Street just off Princes Street. In a listed building with 43 rooms, customers can access two bars and quality restaurant.
